Actuarial consultant Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP) has promoted five of its staff to partners.

Adam Michaels (pic) and Kevin Frisby come from LCP’s investment consulting team, advising trustees and companies on investment strategies. A qualified actuary, Michaels also helps the firm’s research into tactical asset allocation and infrastructure investment, while Frisby leads research into diversified growth managers.

Mark Smith, an associate of the Pensions Management Institute, has been a member of LCP’s employee benefits consulting team since 2007. He has more than 18 years’ experience advising on the design, management and communication of pension and employee benefit plans.

Nick Clark and Phil Cuddeford are both qualified actuaries. Clark’s expertise lies in defined benefit scheme advice, while Cuddeford is a member of LCP’s international consulting arm, specialising in Italian employee benefit issues.

Martin Slack, senior partner at LCP, said: “These promotions reflect LCP’s continued growth and the tremendous talent and knowledge LCP is fortunate to have across its different practice areas.

“We continuously strive to provide our clients with the best expertise and advice in the market, and the combined skills and experience of Nick, Phil, Mark, Kevin and Adam have added considerable strength across the firm.”

LCP has also promoted Robert Ruiz from senior consultant to principal. Ruiz has been at the firm since 2005 and specialises in evaluation and development of mathematical models and actuarial consultancy software tools.
