From BGI to LGIM for global head Cutler

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has hired Hugh Cutler as head of distribution to develop new business strategy in the UK and overseas.

Cutler joins from Barclays Global Investors (BGI), where he was co-head of the global strategic solutions group. He was at BGI for 11 years, during which time he helped set up the strategic group.

Prior to working at BGI, Cutler was at Towers Perrin, where he was an actuarial associate advising on all areas of pensions.

He said: “I’m delighted to join LGIM at such an exciting point. In these challenging times LGIM is ideally positioned to serve its clients well, and I look forward to contributing to its future development”
