Moore: joins Pension Corporation from HMRC

Former Friends Provident (FP) chief executive Philip Moore has joined Pension Corporation as group finance partner.

He will be responsible for the firm’s strategic development and investor relations, and will report directly to chief executive Edmund Truell.

Moore has been chief finance officer for HM Revenue & Customs since quitting FP last year, after the insurer failed to clinch a merger with rival Resolution Life.

He has previously worked as finance director, and actuary and chairman of NPI’s investment committee, and corporate finance director and head of mergers and acquisitions at wealth management firm AMP.

He also spent nine years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UK and Hong Kong, where he led the firm’s insurance consulting practice in southeast Asia.
